Maspalomas Dunes

Puerto Rico

Tejeda

The town's peaks crown the great depression of Tejeda, built within an immense volcano-flooded caldera. The basalt monoliths surrounding the village of Tejeda at the top of Gran Canaria attract visitors, who cannot help but admire one of Spain's most beautiful villages.

Arucas

Arucas is located 12 kilometers from the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and stretches from the coast to the interior, above 600 meters above sea level.
The town center of Arucas has been declared of historical and artistic interest. The parish church of San Juan Bautista (St. John the Baptist), carved entirely of aruquina stone by local master stonemasons, is the most important architectural work. It dates from 1909 and boasts beautiful glasswork by French designer Maumejean et Frères, as well as works by Canary Island painter Cristóbal Hernández de Quintana and an extraordinary statue of the Liar Christ by local sculptor Manuel Ramos.
